Your voice for effective government
My name is Lisa Lucas-Burke, and I am seeking election as the mayor of Portsmouth. I was first elected to the City Council in 2016 and as a newcomer to Portsmouth Politics, I was treading some unfamiliar territories, and I learned a great deal about the city along the way. After two terms on the City Council, I learned there was even more I could do for the city I hold so near to my heart, so I decided to run for Mayor. My campaign focus remains the same for Economic Development, Public Education, Public Safety, Affordable Housing, and Healthcare Access. These five issues will be my primary focus as I strive to be your five star candidate and once elected, serve as your five star Mayor!
Lisa Louise Lucas-Burke is a product of Portsmouth Public Schools, graduating from Manor High School in 1981 where she was a member of the Concert and Marching Mustangs Band.
